Your energy and enthusiasm make all the difference! Let’s go, Stow! says the Reserves manager Craig Brown

Stowmarket Town Football Club Reserves fans! It’s been a few weeks since our exhilarating 3-2 win against local rivals Whitton United on March 4th, and we are itching to get back on the field. We’ll be hosting Woodbridge at home next Tuesday, March 28th, after our previous match had been cancelled due to a waterlogged pitch. Before we delve into the football details, let’s share some heartwarming news about one of our own.

First and foremost, we’d like to extend our warmest congratulations to our center half, Tom Goddard, on the birth of his beautiful baby girl! Tom has chosen to prioritize fatherhood and step away from the team, so we want to express our heartfelt gratitude for his unwavering dedication and invaluable contributions throughout the past five seasons. Tom has been a key figure in our title-winning squad, and we wish him and his family every happiness.

Turning our attention to football matters, we have five fixtures remaining: home matches against Woodbridge, Halstead, and Cornard, and away games against Woodbridge and Long Melford. Our objective is to give it everything we have and secure as many points as possible to finish the season on a high note. Our journey resumes on Tuesday night against a determined, young Woodbridge team.

We also want to take a moment to recognise the exceptional work done by Chris Casement with the first team. His ability to manage player transitions and integrate talented youth into the squad has resulted in some truly impressive performances. We also extend our thanks to Liam for his contributions to both the reserves and first team, as he continues to nurture promising young players.

Lastly, we hope to see a strong turnout of supporters on Tuesday to help us secure a crucial three points against Woodbridge. Your energy and enthusiasm make all the difference! Let’s go, Stow!
