U23 Semi-Final Tonight: Honour and Determination

Ahead of tonight’s pivotal U23 semi-final match against Brantham U23s, we had the privilege of sitting down with our manager, Craig Brown. With his eyes firmly set on reaching our third senior reserve cup final since he took the helm, Craig shared his insights and expectations for this challenging encounter.

Craig emphasised the importance of arriving with the right mindset and attitude to face an increasingly strong Brantham U23 side. “It’s not going to be an easy game,” he stated, highlighting the necessity of focus and determination from the moment the team steps onto the field.

In a moving gesture, Craig also revealed that our players will be wearing black armbands tonight. This is to honour the memory of his mentor and friend, the late David ‘Scatty’ Parsons. “His guidance while playing under him has been a massive influence in my managerial career,” Craig reflected. David’s support and presence over the years have left a lasting impact on our club, making him a greatly missed figure in our community.

Tonight’s match kicks off at 8 PM at Sudbury, and we are counting on our fans to come out in support of the team, and to pay respects to a cherished individual who was an integral part of our club’s journey.
