Words from the manager Liam Hawkins

Boys took control of the game from kick off. Working hard to win the ball back and moving the ball round the park really well.

Stow unlucky not to be running away with the game going in at half time. We had the better of the chances and despite all our efforts we just couldn’t convert to put the game to bed at 1-0. Jack WR hitting the crossbar from distance and Tarek Elomri skimming the post from Cameron Taylor’s cross.

A sloppy error at the back from us to concede drawing it back level. This gave Woodbridge momentum in the latter stages of the game and 8 minutes before full time the referee awarded a soft pen that the Woodbridge skipper tucked away.

A few changes to the system that didn’t work but overall a learning curve we will take from. Certainly all be more wiser when we return to Greens Meadow for our encounter with Felixstowe & Walton in 2 weeks time.

MOM – Mileeq Banya

A real force playing out of position.  Wasn’t a duel I don’t think he lost out in. One for the future definitely!

All the best to Woodbridge for the rest of the season much more clinical than us on the night. Two great games this season!
