STATEMENT FROM STOWMARKET TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB

Stowmarket Town Football Club announce that Craig “Jimmy” Brown has departed the role of under 23’s Team manager.

Jimmy has appeared over 500 times as a player or Reserve / Under 23 manager for Stowmarket Town winning various trophies along the way, including this season’s much coveted U23 treble. Jimmy explained to the club that he feels that he has achieved all he can at the level of Football he has been coaching.

Jimmy was offered a position within the first team coaching staff, but he turned down the role as he has decided to take a break from football before deciding on his next footballing role.

Stowmarket Town Football Club would like to thank Jimmy for all his efforts during his many years at the football club and wishes him all the best for future.

Moving forward the club are pleased to announce that Shaun Finn will assume Under 23 duties as Manager with Ian Simmons as assistant, alongside their duties as our Under 18 coaching team. This will ensure consistency for our players to make smooth transitions through our pathway and into first team football.
