Stowmarket Town Reserves will be hoping to make home advantage count again when they host Thetford Town Reserves at Greens Meadow this weekend.

Craig Brown’s men have made a pleasing start to the new Thurlow Nunn Reserve League season, picking up four points from their first two games to sit in second place in the table.

Jack Hale grabbed the headlines last weekend, scoring all five goals for Stow as they defeated Wivenhoe Town Reserves 5-1 at Greens Meadow.

“It was a good win last weekend and I’m hoping we can carry that on tomorrow against Thetford,” Brown said.

“Hopefully any Stow fans that don’t make the trip with the first team can come and show us some support again.

“Our squad is getting stronger with players coming back that have not been available, so we’ve got some tough decisions to make on selecting the team. But it’s a good headache to have!”
