Muzzy: We’re Here For You
Stowmarket Town manager Paul Musgrove says the club are here to offer their support to any fans that are struggling during the lockdown.
The latest national lockdown started earlier this week, meaning the resumption of football at Greens Meadow has been pushed back to late February/early March at the earliest.
Stow boss Musgrove wants to extend a hand to any supporter who may need support during this difficult time.
“The club are here for you, in particular the ones that may be suffering in terms of having Covid, or families with Covid, people that can’t work, people that are locked in and can’t get their kids to school,” Musgrove said.
“We want to be able to give as much back to those people in this period. I did a FaceTime with one of our supporters, who has got a boy who is not very well, and it lifted his spirits.
“I know Josh Mayhew sent a message on Christmas Day to one of our supporters, and I got a lovely message back saying how much that made someone’s day.
“If we can give back during this period, that’s what we’re here to do. Everybody who comes to watch us, I want to say it’s not a one-way thing. Anything that us and the players can do, we’ll do what we can to raise spirits for everybody.
“We get fantastic support, and if it wasn’t for the supporters and the committee then we don’t keep going. The players are happy to do their bit and put smiles on people’s faces when we can.”
Please feel free to contact the club via our social media channels, Facebook or Twitter, or via the contact form on this website.
