Match Report: Iain van der Ree

Bermudian International Reggie Lambe sinks the Yachtsman with a wonder strike.

Stowmarket made three changes from their 1-1 draw with Hashtag on Saturday with Chris Casement, Craig Parker and Kane Munday starting. The impetuous of those changes clearly showed as the Old Gold & Blacks dominated the first half exchanges with Natty Stewart firing over the bar from close range. The ever-composed Ed Upson sent a stinging shot at goal with keeper Ollie Sutton getting his fingertips on the ball deflecting it on to the post as the first half closed at 0-0.

The elusive goal finally came in the 59th minute when Bermudian International Reggie Lambe launched one of his now trademark strikes from 30 yards into the top left-hand corner of the goal much to delight of the 399 fans in Greens Meadow crowd. Although comfortably managing the rest of the match Stow couldn’t add further to the scoring, Manager Paul Musgrove clearly delighted with the win is looking ahead to a Suffolk derby away at Bury on Friday 9th September at 7:45pm
