Stowmarket Town Reserves take on Wivenhoe Town Reserves in their first home game of the new season at Greens Meadow tomorrow.

Craig Brown’s men kicked off their 2020-21 Thurlow Nunn Reserve League campaign with a 1-1 draw away at Holland Reserves last Saturday.

Stow boss Brown said he was disappointed to come away without all three points from his side’s league opener, but was proud of the performances from several of the club’s youngsters, including Jake Dolden, Ben Gutteridge and Charlie Lockwood.

“Last week we should have got three points,” he said. “Now we want to kick on and we’ve got our first home game of the season this weekend.

“Wivenhoe are always a hard-working side, so we know what we’re up against. Hopefully we’ll get a good crowd, as it’s our first home game, and any Stow fans not going to watch the first team at Yaxley will come down and show us some support.”
