We’re excited to confirm that Craig “Jimmy” Brown will continue as the manager of our U23s team. Despite several attractive job offers, Jimmy has chosen to stay with us and concentrate on developing the team, with a goal of promoting as many players as possible to Step 4 football. This comes especially in light of recent departures from the squad.
Sharing his excitement, Jimmy said, “I’m delighted to be continuing as Stow U23s manager. I’ve had a few job offers, but I’ve decided to stay put and work to push as many of our lads to Step 4 football as possible. With recent departures, it’s a fantastic opportunity for talented young players to rise to Step 4.”
As we look forward to the new season, Jimmy is pleased to introduce his new management team. The team includes Simon Nunn, an ex-goalkeeper for Stowmarket and Needham, who recently coached the Needham U18s. Jimmy had this to say “Simon Nunn will be my assistant manager. He’s exceptional with youth and his experience will help massively in the U23s division.”
We’re also happy to announce that Michael Dawson is committed to assisting the team’s management again. Additionally, Luke Bates, a player from our last season, will be joining the management team. Luke’ excellent work with the young players hasn’t gone unnoticed, with Jimmy stating that “he will be a major influence on them.”
Pre-season training is set to kick off soon at Chilton Fields. In preparation, Jimmy is inviting all young players ready for a new challenge to join us. The start date for training will be confirmed soon.
